THE PARTY (POEM)

Come to the party where demons are dancing, forget about caring for those struck down

Come to the party they’ll drown you ignorance spill a river of sympathy on to themselves

Leaving the party might make them suspicious and lower your status all around town

Giving your self up just to be one of them makes you feel wanted but inside there’s shame

After the party they keep going on and on sucking up all of the money supply

You get the bills and end up down in debt, paying in secret while feigning a smile

They are the focus whom draw all attention meanwhile millions now are homeless

Partying hard just to burn what could feed a world, there go the predators merchants of cool

Building a brand out of vanity narcissists will go on and on until

We pray in their rubber churches and forfeit all to their religion.
